Why watch Asian America?
At a time when the Asian American community is the fastest growing population in the United States and economic and political ties between the East and West are becoming increasingly important, the demand for knowledge and information about Asia and Asian Americans has risen. Yet few programs fill this need in a consistent, unbiased and "viewer-friendly" manner.
Asian America seeks to provide programs that better inform and educate the general public about issues that significantly influence and affect American general public and Asian Americans as well as people in Asian countries.
But there is much more. As the only English language television series of its kind, Asian America creates an ongoing dialogues between the general American society and the various ethnic communities. It also contributes to the better understanding between Asia and the United States.
Asian America is the champion of diverisity by connecting people within and between them. It serves as a voice for Asian American community as a whole.
